The Masai Mara National reserve, located in primarily open grassland in the Great Rift Valley. This reserve is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya and in Africa. There is much concentration of wildlife on the western escarpment of the reserve. It is as well referred to as the jewel of the Kenya’s viewing areas.
The annual great wildebeest migration involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in the month of July and leaving in the month of September. There is nowhere in Africa where wildlife is more abundant, therefore, it is for this reason that a visitor hardly misses to see the big five which include, buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino.
